Pinky and the Brain Animianiacs spinoff Pinky and Brain, featuring the voices of Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche, centered on two genetically enhanced laboratory mice inside the Acme Labs research facility. The series won eight Daytime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award, and spawned a spinoff in Pinky and the Brain. The original voice cast included Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, and Sherri Stoner. Animation and Spielberg's Amblin Television, featured a variety of different segments and characters, including the Warner siblings Yakko, Wakoo and Dot. The show was initially intended for a younger audience but the character progression, superb animation, and deeper themes opened it up to a much wider audience. Two full seasons aired on Kids' WB and the series was so popular that, after it ended its four-season run, a fifth season was ordered for Cartoon Network.
